The twenty pages of flower and (or) bird pictures that Ginkō included in an 1898 picture book entitled Sōka Gafu (i.e., Picture Album of Flowering Plants) are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. The shapes of most flowers and birds were drawn accurately but their colors were not always true to life due to the limited number of colors used in the printing process.
